Bus Station in Baeza

In 2003, the well-preserved ensemble of Re-naissance buildings in the historical centre of Baeza, Andalusia, was selected for inclusion in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. For many visitors, the bus station is the first structure they see when they arrive there. It is situated on the edge of town on an arterial road between unexciting newer commercial buildings and housing developments. In view of this, the architects were able to concentrate in their design on the intrinsic function of the bus terminal.
